How to Add Payment Methods and Cards in Safari Mac

Learn how to add a payment card and method into the Safari Mac browser. The card will be added to the Safari and will autofill online payments or purchases.

The Safari browser allows users to add and save card details for quick payments. The card details are stored locally and can only be available when we authenticate using the device password.   4. Switch to the AutoFill tab within the preferences window.
  5. Enable the checkbox against the Credit cards.
  6. Click on the Edit… command button against the Credit card option.
  7. Enter your computer login password or touch ID.
  8. Click on the Add button on the window.
  9. Enter the details in the field: Description, Card Number, Card Holder, and Expiry.
  10. Click on the Add command button after filling in all credit card details.

It will add the card details in the Safari browser that can be used for purchases. The card details are automatically populated on the merch and payment gateway sites.

Delete Card Detail

Sometimes, someone else is using your laptop for a purchase they want to make. In such a case, deleting your saved cards on Mac immediately is advisable. Here are the steps to delete the saved card details:

  1. Launch the Safari browser app on your Mac.
  2. Click on the Safari menu from the menubar.
  3. Select the Preferences… menu under Safari; this will open a new preferences window.
  4. Switch to the AutoFill tab within the preferences window.
  5. Enable the checkbox against the Credit cards.
  6. Click on the Edit command button against the Credit card option.
  7. Enter your computer login password or touch ID.
  8. Select the existing credit card from the list.
  9. Click on the Remove command button to delete the card.

This will delete the saved card details from the apple safari browser on a computer. The delete card will be removed from the browser storage and unavailable for further transactions.
