Firefox provides users information about the security and privacy of websites they visit through the Site Information and Site Settings menus. These menus allow users to view details about the website’s security certificate, manage location, camera, and microphone permissions, and view and manage site data such as cookies and cache.

Do you know that the websites you visit can directly contribute to your chances of being hacked? You risk losing data and having your information misused if you do not take extra caution about the types of websites you visit. It would be best to protect all your information when browsing the web.

Is the site you are visiting authentic? Is it being run by hackers who can easily misuse your data? You can find all this when you view the site information and settings. Since I am dubious of my privacy a lot, I prefer to keep my data and information secured and protected at all times.

In this article, I will show how you can check the certificate information to identify the connection security of any website. This will help in avoiding phishing sites and protect you from being hacked.

You can also manage the permissions to various browser services like camera, microphone, sounds, etc. This will help you in avoiding any permissions misuse. To access it all, you can refer to the Firefox Security Settings.

Bottom Line: Site Info and Settings in Firefox

You can clear cache or cookies if you deem it fit. I would advise you to do this when experiencing browser speed problems.

Your online security is vital as it directly correlates with offline security. You do not want your credit card and address information, among others, to land in the wrong hands. This is why you need to verify that a site is safe before viewing and inputting any of your data there. All of this is possible if you have access to site settings in Firefox.

It would be best to verify what permissions the site can access on your device to prevent giving up lots of personal information about yourself.

I usually take extra caution when it comes to Firefox information and site settings in Firefox when browsing online stores, as these sites typically gather lots of personal information to personalize their ads. I also caution against giving out my bank details because it could lead to losing my bank account.
