Send Links to Connected Chrome Devices from a Computer

Are you looking to send links to connected Chrome devices? Learn to sync with your Google account and share links across your signed-in devices.

Google Chrome allows sending the links to the connected device sign-in with the same Google account. You can send the links, continue reading on the other connected devices, and share links seamlessly.

It will display all the connected devices where you can select the destination device, and the link will open automatically.

In this guide, we have shared the steps to send links to connected devices from the Google Chrome app.

On this page, you can find and jump to:

Send Link to Other Connected Devices

If you already have more than one device signed in with the same Google account, click the send to your device icon in the URL bar and choose the alternative device.

  1. Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
  2. Open the website that you want to send to your other devices.
  3. Within the URL bar, hit on the Share icon.
  4. Choose the app you want to use to send or forward the page link to other devices.
Send to Your Devices in Chrome Computer

This will automatically forward the link to the selected device from the list of Google signed-in devices. The link will automatically open or be available when your recipient device is online. The sends to the device is instead a beneficial feature.

If the incoming device is offline or turned off, the link will open immediately after connecting it online.

Bottom Line

The Send to Your Device feature has eliminated all the hassle of forwarding the links. Cross-device collaboration is now more accessible and more productive.

After the latest update of the Chrome Browser, the send-to-device features have been converted into the Share feature. Under this feature, you can copy the link to the site or send the links using other apps such as Whatsapp, Twitter, or other social media apps.

Similarly, you can send the links from Chrome on Android to all other connected devices. The list will appear on the screen where you can select any Chrome-enabled device signed in.

  1. I signed in the same google account on my laptop and smartphone; clicked the share icon then Cast from the menu; it attempts to find the device with no result!
    How to fix that?

    1. Hello, laptops are not equipped with Chrome Cast feature that allows screensharing from mobile or any connected device. Hence, it’s not visible.

However, the Cast feature will be able to find the Smart TV with Chrome Cast hardware.
