Learn how to completely block the camera and microphone access permission to all websites on the Safari browser on the iPhone or iPad.

There have been multiple reports and new outbreaks about the privacy invasion by apps and major internet giants. One way to protect privacy and avoid data theft is by blocking all the permissions within the phone that you think are irrelevant for any website.

The Safari browser does offer a feature to either enable or disable the basic features and permissions like sound, camera, microphone, storage, etc. Hence, it’s completely in our control whether to allow or block the permissions for any specific settings.

Since I am always skeptical about my privacy, I like taking precautions beforehand. I have blocked safari camera access and audio permissions in advance to avoid any privacy theft.

You can easily block safari permissions for camera access requested from the website on the Safari browser for iOS or iPadOS.

Here are the steps to block safari camera access for iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad.
  2. Scroll down and choose the Safari browser from Settings.
  3. From Safari Settings, tap on the Camera option.
  4. Choose the option Deny to block all the websites requesting the camera permission.

How to Block Microphone Permission for Safari iOS?

Here are the steps to block microphone access to safari iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad.
  2. Scroll down and choose the Safari app browser from Settings.
  3. From Safari Settings, tap on the Microphone option.
  4. Choose the option Deny to block all the websites requesting the microphone permission.
