Google’s Chrome browser has an in-built feature to block these ads. All you need to do is enable the options under site settings.

  1. Launch the Google Chrome browser on Computer.
  2. Click on vertical 3dots icon menu for options.
  3. Select Settings from the list.
  4. Scroll down to the Privacy and Security section, and select the Site settings from the menu.
  5. Choose the Ads option within Site settings.
  6. Toggle the button to turn OFF and block misleading ads.

This will block if the site shows misleading or intrusive ads. However, all the acceptable ads will display on the website. This way a genuine content creator or online publisher will be rewarded and a website that is meant to only make money with illegal ads on computers will be punished.
