How to Enable or Disable Sound Permission in Edge Android?

Learn how to enable or disable the sound or music permission to Edge for Android devices. This will allow or block access to the phone speaker for playing the music or sound from the Microsoft Edge browser tabs.

Recently I started noticing the website, especially the news website is misusing the feature of sound and music play permission available in the website browser. They are auto-playing the videos and podcasts without permission.

I was recently felt embarrassed while traveling on the metro train browsing through Google news, and suddenly a new website started the live broadcast in loud. Though I took the situation in control but decided to block the sound permission to the news websites.

The website needs permission to play sound and hosted music using a web browser. The Microsoft Edge does have a feature to either allow or disable the sound access for the website which we can use in our favor.
